FAQ/Help
Q: How do I use Windows Media Player to listen to TrainREK Radio?
A: Here are the steps for listening to TR on Windows Media Player.
1. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet.
2. Download and install the latest edition of Windows Media Player.
3. While Windows is running simply press CTRL + U and then type the following URL in the Open box: bluedog.wavestreamer.com:7337
Still having problems? Try completely deleting and reinstalling Windows Media Player. If that doesn’t work, please try a different player and send us an email to help@trainrekradio.com.
Q: I’m trying to use the Web Player, but there is no sound.
A: Are you hearing sound from other applications? If not, try adjusting your computers volume control(often found in the bottom right hand corner near the time). Often the stream takes up to 1 minute and thirty seconds to connect and buffer, it may just be a case of needing to wait for your computer to catch up.
Q: I’d like to connect to TrainREK Radio on iTunes. How do I do that?
A: Here are the steps to listening to TR through iTunes:
1. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet.
2. Select Radio in the iTunes Source list.
3. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of a category to see which stations are available in that genre. In the Comment column, you can read a brief description of the type of music each station plays.
4. Double-click the station you want to listen to. Watch as iTunes connects to the station and begins to play.
5. If it starts to skip or stutter, your Internet connection might not be fast enough. If this happens, try a station with a lower bit rate.
